Qualifications:
The Audio/Visual Intern is a Ministerial position.
Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.
s (MHA) Christian mission, vision, beliefs, culture code and standards of conduct.
They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHAs Christian community, conference programs and retreats.
All staff are expected to join gatherings which include prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teaching.
Position Objective:
The Audio/Visual Intern will gain knowledge, ability, and skills pertaining to audio and visual equipment in a camp and conference center setting.
They will assist the A/V manager with creating and maintaining equipment, atmosphere, and experiences for events where guests take one step closer to Jesus in a manner consistent with MHAs mission, vision and values.
Key Job Accountabilities:

Assist in maintaining, organizing, and deploying audio and visual equipment and resources throughout all Mount Hermon campuses.

Assist in live event audio engineering roles including A1, A2, and Broadcast Audio.

Assist with Audio and Visual equipment upgrades and improvement projects.

Assist with basic lighting design.

Assist in live broadcast and IMAG video production.

Assist with designing live event experiences using QLab and ProPresenter 7.

Work in a team environment with cross-departmental cooperation.

Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:

None Wage:
$15.
50/hour (September through May); June-September position transitions to Organized Camp Exempt Summer Staff position/wage.
Work
Experience:

Live audio mixing with digital consoles preferred.

Basic experience working with a variety of Audio/Video/Lighting equipment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills using a personal computer and various software packages.

A quick learner that has the ability to acclimate to different environments and different groups.

Capable of providing a strong Christian role model.

Strong attention to detail.

Passion for music and sound.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, many weekends, and several holidays.

Will be required to participate in Summer Staff Program as a component of the internship program.

Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHAs Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.

Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.

Must agree to and comply with MHAs employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and personal vehicles for business purposes.

Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
